\nBigband-Sounds von der Amerikanischen Westk\u00fcste<\/h2>\n

Sommer-Konzert der PHOENIX FOUNDATION<\/strong> im B\u00fcrgerhaus Urbar ein!<\/p>\n

Veranstalter ist dankenswerterweise traditionsgem\u00e4\u00df die Stommel Stiftung<\/a> Urbar. Das Orchester pr\u00e4sentiert unter der Leitung von Frank Reichert das aktuelle Programm 2019 „West Coast Special“<\/p>\n

Im amerikanischen Jazz hat sich seit den 50ger Jahren\u2013 sicherlich mitbedingt durch die geographische Weite des Landes und durch eine andere Mentalit\u00e4t der Bev\u00f6lkerung der Begriff „West Coast Jazz“ f\u00fcr Jazz aus Californien etabliert.<\/p>\n

Dem entsprechend wird bis heute auch f\u00fcr Bigbands und Bigband-Arrangeure, die aus Californien stammen oder dort leben und arbeiten der Begriff verwendet. Damit verbunden sind Namen wir Bob Curnow, Bill Holman, John Clayton, Les Hooper oder als prominentester Zeitgenosse Gordon Godwin.<\/p>\n

Dem gegen\u00fcber die Vertreter der Ostk\u00fcste, bzw Bigband-Leader oder Arrangeure aus New York wie Don Sebesky, Buddy Rich oder Thad Jones.<\/p>\n

Amerikanische Bigband-Musik ist l\u00e4ssig und gekonnt, Die Bigband-Musik der Westk\u00fcste kommt dar\u00fcber hinaus besonders in allter „Cool-Jazz“ Tradition entspannt, virtuos, witzig mit einem „Augenzwinkern“ und mit „understatement“ daher.<\/p>\n

Arrangements von Bill Holman und Co passen gut zum Sommer und zum Spirit der „Phoenix Foundation“.<\/p>\n
