Die musikalische Leitung der Arbeitsphase hat Klaus Graf, <\/strong>Saxofon, \u00fcbernommen. Das Orchester pr\u00e4sentiert dar\u00fcber hinaus erstmals live Ausz\u00fcge aus der 2020 ver\u00f6ffentlichten CD \u201eSwingin\u2018 in the USA\u201c.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus Graf <\/strong>Jahrgang 1964 war Mitglied im Bundesjazzorchester und studierte Saxophon<\/a> an der Musikhochschule K\u00f6ln. 1991 wurde er festes Mitglied der Peter Herbolzheimer RC&Brass und begann zeitgleich seine Mitwirkung in der SWR Bigband, der er bis heute angeh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Jahre 2002 gr\u00fcndete Klaus Graf sein erstes eigenes Quartett und produzierte die CD\u201eChanges in Live\u201c 2006 folgte die zweite CD \u201eMoving On\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zahlreiche Tourneen und Gastkonzerte f\u00fchrten ihn u.a. nach Skandinavien (Geir Lysne Listening Ensemble), New York (Liza Minelli Orchestra) und Indien mit seinem Quartett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus Graf war Landesjazzpreistr\u00e4ger von Baden W\u00fcrttemberg, erhielt den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik und Grammynominierungen mit der SWR Big Band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seit 2002 unterrichtet Klaus Graf als Professor f\u00fcr Jazzsaxophon an der Musikhochschule N\u00fcrnberg und ist ein gefragter Dozent f\u00fcr zahlreiche Workshops im In- und Ausland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eSwingin\u2019 in the USA\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In diesem Geist erlebten die jungen Musiker der Phoenix Foundation ihre gro\u00dfe USA-Tournee im M\u00e4rz 2019. \u2013 Wer h\u00e4tte damals geahnt, dass ein winziger Virus die Live Pr\u00e4sentation der CD um zwei Jahre verz\u00f6gert. Um so sch\u00f6ner, es nach der Online-Pr\u00e4sentation im letzen Jahr jetzt \u201elive\u201c in Ausz\u00fcgen nachzuholen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bis 2019 reisten die Phoenix-Jazzer jedes Jahr als Musik-Botschafter des Landes in eine musikalisch spannende Region auf der Welt: China, Korea, Ruanda \u2013 und zuletzt auf gro\u00dfe Tour in das Heimatland des Swing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besonders erfreulich: Nach November 2019 und 2 Jahren Corona-Zwangspause ist der Nachwuchs wieder mit am Start! Immerhin, ein Split-Video-Projekt konnte w\u00e4hrend den Lockdowns ein wenig Abhilfe schaffen.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
