LandesJugendJazzOrchester Rheinland-Pfalz ins B\u00fcrgerhaus Urbar ein.Die Arbeitsphase des LJJO findet vom 04. Bis 07. Mai 2023 unter der musikalischen Leitung vom zweimaligen Grammy-Preistr\u00e4ger Mark Gross<\/strong> aus New York statt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Gross<\/strong> hat auf \u00fcber 40 beachteten Jazz-Einspielungen mitgewirkt. Neben seiner eigenen Formation, dem \u201eMark Gross Quartet\u201c tourt er seit \u00fcber 25 Jahren weltweit als gefragter Side-Man unter anderem mit Dizzy Gillespies Big Band, mit Nat Adderley, Dave Holland, Jimmy Heath und dem Duke Ellington Orchestra, um einige wenige zu nennen. In New York ist sein am Hardbop orientiertes Spiel regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Village Vanguard Jazz Orchester und in der Mingus Big Band gefragt. Titelgebend f\u00fcr den Abend ist auch sein jahrzehntelanges Engagement am Broadway in den verschiedensten Produktionen. Selbst seinerzeit Student am renommierten Berklee College of Music, vermittelt er sein Wissen und seine Erfahrungen als gefragter Dozent und Bandleiter an heranwachsende Generationen junger Jazztalente, heute bei der Phoenix Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Phoenix Foundation<\/strong> befindet sich zur Mai-Arbeitsphase in einem Generationen-Umbruch und freut sich \u00fcber regen Zulauf. Insgesamt haben sich \u00fcber 40 junge Musikerinnen und Musiker angemeldet. Im LandesJugendJazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz treffen sich junge Musikerinnen und Musiker, die sich in Sachen Bigband-Jazz engagieren. Wie der Sagenvogel Ph\u00f6nix aus der Asche wiedergeboren wird, so erneuert sich auch das \u201eJugendjazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz\u201c alle paar Jahre. Unter der Gesamtleitung von Frank Reichert<\/strong> hat sich die \u201ePhoenix Foundation\u201c als Talentschmiede f\u00fcr die deutsche Jazzszene etabliert. Musikalisch steht die Big Band f\u00fcr eine frisch-moderne Auffassung des Bigband-Jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im B\u00fcrgerhaus wird die Concert-Band der Phoenix Foundation mit Mark Gross sowie die Junior Big Band unter der Leitung von Frank Reichert zu h\u00f6ren sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
