Den Tag der deutschen Einheit 2009 verbringt die Phoenix Foundation musikalisch in Frankreich zusammen mit dem franz\u00f6sichen Vibraphonisten Franck\u00a0 Tortiller. Am Samstag, den 03.10.2009 findet in Dijon im „Salle de Flore“ des „Palais des Ducs“ um 20 Uhr\u00a0 ein gemeinsames Konzert unter dem Motto „jazzige Reflexionen zu 60 Jahren Bundesrepublik Deutschland“\u00a0 statt.<\/p>\n

Parallel zu seinen eigenen Projekten arbeitet Franck Tortiller regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit dem Vienna Art Orchestra. Des weiteren spielte er mit dem Orchestre Pasdeloup, der basel sinfonietta, dem Orchestre symphonique de Ulm, mit Mike Mainieri, Dave Samuels, Sanseverino, Arthur H und Juliette Gr\u00e9co. Einen gro\u00dfen Platz in seinem Schaffen nimmt auch das Komponieren ein. Er hat inzwischen eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl an Kompositionen und Kompositionsauftr\u00e4gen u.a. mit dem Radio France, Jazz sous les Pommiers, Sc\u00e8ne Nationale Le Creusot verwirklicht.<\/p>\n

Franck Tortiller leitete das Franz\u00f6sische Nationale Jazzorchester (Orchestre National de Jazz) zwischen 2005 und 2008. Tourneen f\u00fchrten ihn bisher durch Frankreich, Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, Italien, Spanien, T\u00fcrkei, USA und Irland. Im Jahre 2007 wurde er mit dem Django d\u2019Or ausgezeichnet.
