LandesJugendJazzOrchester Rheinland-Pfalz in die Stadt- und Kongresshalle Vallendar<\/strong>. Die Arbeitsphase des LJJO findet vom 15. bis 18. Mai unter besonderen Vorzeichen statt:<\/p>

Die junge spanische S\u00e4ngerin und Trompeterin Andrea Motis ist der bisher erfolgreichste Spross aus der legend\u00e4ren Talentschmiede von Joan Chamorro in Barcelona. Ihre Musik, stark beeinflusst von lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen, hat sie bislang auf mehreren CDs bei renommierten Labels in kleinen Formationen ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Eine kongeniale Verbindung ist sie bei der Phoenix Arbeitsphase mit Michael Philip Mossman eingegangen. Der amerikanische Trompeter, Bandleader und Arrangeur, der in den vergangenen Jahren bereits mehrfach mit der Phoenix Foundation zusammenarbeitete, hat ein Programm im gro\u00dforchestralen Soundgewand f\u00fcr sie geschrieben und auf die Phoenix Foundation zugeschnitten.<\/p>

In der Phoenix Foundation<\/strong>, dem LandesJugendJazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz treffen sich junge Musikerinnen und Musiker, die sich in Sachen Bigband-Jazz engagieren. Wie der Sagenvogel Ph\u00f6nix aus der Asche wiedergeboren wird, so erneuert sich auch das \u201eJugendjazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz\u201c alle paar Jahre. Unter der Gesamtleitung von Frank Reichert<\/strong> hat sich die \u201ePhoenix Foundation\u201c als Talentschmiede f\u00fcr die deutsche Jazzszene etabliert. Musikalisch steht die Big Band f\u00fcr eine frisch-moderne Auffassung des Bigband-Jazz.<\/p>

Ebenfalls erw\u00e4hnenswert: Die Junior-Formation der Phoenix Foundation<\/strong>, die bereits ein erstaunliches Leistungsniveau erreicht hat, bietet beim Konzert einen musikalischen Querschnitt aus ihrem Programm, das historische Originaltranskriptionen aus dem Schaffen der stilpr\u00e4gender Big Bands von Duke Ellington, Chick Webb oder Gerry Mulligan enth\u00e4lt.<\/p>
