Ausverkauftes Haus, beste Stimmung und mitrei\u00dfende Grooves, das waren die Zutaten der vierten Ingelheimer Jazz Night in der Kultur- und Kongresshalle Ingelheim (kING). Das hochkar\u00e4tige Jazz-Event bot nach dem Hauptkonzert mit Nils Landgren und der \u201ePhoenix Foundation\u201c am sp\u00e4ten Abend noch vier Late-Night-Sessions an verschiedenen Spielorten in der kING.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nils Landgren gelingt es – im kongenialen Zusammenspiel mit der Phoenix Foundation und Frank Reichert, dem musikalischen Leiter – die Band perfekt in seine Musik einzubeziehen – Arrangements, \u00fcberwiegend vom Californischen Arrangeur und Bandleader Vince Mendoza lassen dabei gen\u00fcgend Freiraum f\u00fcr den Gast des Abends und f\u00fcr die an den verschiedensten Instrumenten beeindruckenden jungen Talente der Phoenix Foundation. Die Band pr\u00e4sentierte einen gelungenen Mix aus Eigenkompositionen verschiedener Schaffensperioden Landgrens sowie Coverversionen von Sting, Jos Sample und Paul Simon, alles S\u00e4nger, deren Timbre perfekt zu dem von Nils Landgren passt. Die Songs profitieren dabei von den farbigen, vor allen Dingen von der Bl\u00e4serrhythmik geschickt gesetzten Arrangements enorm. Nils Landgren singt und in Arrangements sind oft Posaunensoli f\u00fcr ihn und gleichberechtigt f\u00fcr die Mitglieder der Phoenix Foundation eingebaut, damit der Jazz nicht zu kurz kommt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warum ist das Projekt \u201cJazzNight\u201d f\u00fcr die Phoenix Foundation so wertvoll und so attraktiv? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erstens ist es keine Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit, vor einem ausverkauften Haus mit 800 Zuschauern zu spielen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist es wichtig f\u00fcr die jungen Musikerinnen und Musiker, in einem solchen Rahmen und ihr K\u00f6nnen \u201cbeweisen\u201d zu k\u00f6nnen. Die professionellen, oft technisch herausfordernden Arrangements zu bew\u00e4ltigen erfordert dar\u00fcber hinaus eine zielgerichtete Vorbereitung zu Hause und in den vorgeschalteten Proben, die in der Regel eine Woche vor dem Konzert am Wilhelm Hofmann Gymnasium in St. Goarshausen stattfinden sowie am Tag vor dem Konzert und am Konzerttag selbst. Hier geht es dann um den \u201cFeinschliff\u201d und darum, die Dramaturgie des Abends mit dem K\u00fcnstler abzustimmen sowie die Moderation, damit das Ganze in der Pr\u00e4sentation leicht daherkommt und die Zuschauer mitnimmt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
