Die Phoenix Foundation, das Jugendjazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz wird mit Joe Gallardo und seinem \u201eLatin-Jazz-Latino-Programm\u201c am 23.11.07 um 20 Uhr im \u201ePalatinum\u201c in Mutterstadt zu h\u00f6ren sein.<\/p>\n
Seit 1991 ist JOE GALLARDO Mitglied und Soloposaunist der NDR Big Band, einer der letzten vier gro\u00dfen Radio Big Bands in Deutschland. Eine Bereicherung f\u00fcr die Band, ein Gl\u00fccksfall f\u00fcr den international erfahrenen Musiker, der nach Anf\u00e4ngen in Showorchestern in Las Vegas und der Zusammenarbeit mit den Big Bands von Kai Winding, Mel Lewis, Stan Kenton und Mongo Santamaria bei den Hamburgern eine ad\u00e4quate musikalische Heimat gefunden hat. Tief hat Gallardo als Komponist in die Latin-Kiste gegriffen und zehn Titel geschrieben, die ihn als rhythmische Begleiter mit auf eine temperamentvolle und farbenfrohe Reise von Havanna bis Rio nehmen.
\nEine blitzsaubere Sammlung erstklassiger Big Band Nummern, mit Fingerspitzengef\u00fchl von Michael Mossmann arrangiert und urspr\u00fcnglich von der NDR Big Band umgesetzt. Mossmanns Arbeit als Arrangeur f\u00fcr u.a. Tito Puente, Ray Baretto, Eddie Palmieri, Paquito D\u00b4Rivera, Joe Henderson und die Charles Mingus Big Band tr\u00e4gt bei „Latin Jazz Latino“ reiche Fr\u00fcchte.<\/p>\n
Fetzig wie der Opener „Bluesiando“, wirbelnd wie der Salsa „Veneros“ oder sanft swingend wie der Bossa „Margarita“, immer stimmt das Konzept, funkeln gro\u00dfe, gl\u00e4nzende Bl\u00e4sers\u00e4tze, Soli und Rhythmusgruppen im Gleichgewicht zwischen First-Class-Jazz und allerfeinstem Ballroom-Gef\u00fchl.
